Helen Simmons Puts on Spectacles Specially Made for Her at 100 Years Old Birthday

Talk about never getting tired of life! It certainly looks like we need to learn a lot from our seniors as they never seem to get tired of their old age!
A valley center homeowner, Helen Simmons, recently turned 100 years old and drove herself to a birthday bash, her friends threw for her at Pauma Valley Country Club. Her husband, who is “only” 88 years old, accompanied her to the event. It is not just that she looked cheerful and happy to be celebrating her 100th birthday, she also chose to show off her happiness by wearing spectacles which spelled out 100 in bright red colors! 

According to Helen, there is nothing which can stop her from leading an active life. She never uses a stick or a cane and cooks her own food. At home, she is a doting parent to her two Labradors, is an avid reader and also goes to the doctor all by herself! Her philosophy in life is to enjoy everything she does. Although she uses a hearing aid, she doesn’t wear reading glasses to read her books. She says she has simply never felt the need for eyeglass frames! Never heard of any woman who doesn’t need prescription glasses after turning 40 but then there is Helen Simmons!
